
Tin Samaržija was born on April 11, 1997, in Zagreb. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of the University of Zagreb in 2022, earning the academic degree of Master of Arts in Printmaking. He completed his undergraduate studies with the highest honors, Summa cum laude, and graduated with honors, Magna cum laude.
He has been actively exhibiting since 2018 and has participated in over one hundred exhibitions in Croatia and abroad. His works have been exhibited in numerous cities, including Zagreb, Zaprešić, Karlovac, Krapina, Brseč, Đakovo, Samobor, Split, Pula, Rijeka, Velika Gorica, Vukovar, Varaždin, Vinkovci, Osijek, Livno, Mostar, Dubrovnik, Požega, Podgorica, Ptuj, Trakya, Tomislavgrad, Belgrade, London, Doncaster, Madrid, Istanbul, Rome, Miami, Brasilia, New York, and Nevşehir–Cappadocia.
He has participated in a series of significant national and international events, most notably the London Biennale, the 3rd International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Livno, the 9th Triennial of Graphic Arts at HAZU in Zagreb, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Drawing Biennale in Pula, the Zagorje Art Salon in Krapina, the International Ex Libris Exhibition 1997–2003 in Rijeka, the 6th International Triennial of Self-Portraits in Samobor, and the International Small Format Graphics – Montenegro - 2025, alongside numerous other art salons and exhibitions at home and abroad.
Since 2019, he has realized a series of graphic portfolios and art-poetry editions, including Memento mori, Inner Chaos, Psyche: The Living Within Us, and The Mirror of the Wondrous – Hommage to Marin Držić. Of particular note are the portfolios created within the Biškupić Collection edition, such as Sarabande for Anamarija, created in collaboration with the poet and academician Luko Paljetak, and the Equilibrium portfolios, realized in collaboration with Professor Frano Paro.
He also contributed as an author to the graphic portfolios Hommage to Tonko Maroević and Hommage to Luko Paljetak, also published by the Biškupić Collection. He has received several honors and recognitions for his work, most notably the Rector's Award for the visual solution of the poster and visual identity for the opera Brundibár.
Since 2024, he has been employed at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. He is a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU), the Croatian Academic Union, and the "Dr. Ante Starčević" Academic Union.
