Twisted

Artist statement:

The bronze sculpture Twisted depicts an ox in a turning gesture, a moment of bending that suggests an inner impulse of backward movement. The form is reduced—only the head and body are present—so that the emphasis lies on the expressiveness of motion rather than anatomical description. The black patina further accentuates the tension of the volumes, while the polished stainless-steel horns introduce a rhythmic counterpoint. Set on a white, porous stone pedestal, the sculpture balances between the weight of the figure and the airiness of the base. Twisted explores the relationship between inner strength and movement through simplicity of form and the restrained drama of materials.
