Artist statement:
Half an Hour of Sculpture — a miniature bronze hand, 3.5 cm tall, gold-plated with a diamond instead of a nail, is placed under a glass bell jar shaped like a test tube — a precious specimen.
It emerges from the pedestal for two minutes, remains visible for half an hour, then retreats for another half hour. The work demands time, attention, and full observation.
The reward is uncomfortable — the middle finger. A symbol of power and disdain, reflecting cycles of war, political unrest, and social manipulation. The gold plating and diamond highlight coldness and superficiality: it shines, yet it offends.
The sculpture cannot be touched, but it certainly touches — with a gesture that leaves no room for compromise.
