Golden Boy

Artist statement:

A sculpture dedicated to my cat, Burrito, who is, always and forever, my "golden boy." Found in a box behind the Academy of Fine Arts when he was only two days old and hadn't even opened his eyes, I raised him by bottle-feeding him. He grew into a large, beautiful cat with whom I have shared my life for 7 years now. It is difficult to describe the bond with a cat you have hand-reared; because he didn't grow up with other cats, he is somewhat neurodivergent, yet full of love and affection.
