Artist statement:

The painting depicts the nightmare of an open-sea storm, executed through a highly action-driven painterly approach. The composition is filled with movement, tension, and a sense of chaos, reflecting the raw and uncontrollable power of nature.

The work is dominated by blue, gray, and black tones, while the surface is further enriched with iron dust, adding weight, texture, and an almost aggressive material presence. The materials themselves become part of the storm, evoking wind, waves, and the destructive energy of the sea.

As part of the Nevera series, this piece explores the destructive beauty of natural forces, translating the violence and unpredictability of the open sea into a powerful, visceral visual experience.
