Sea storm 9

Artist statement:

The work "Storm 9" from the series "Sea storms" consists of iron pyramids covered with hemp and plaster, forming a composition that evokes a turbulent sea. The surfaces are ink-patinated, giving the sea a dark, deep texture. At the top floats a small paper boat in gold, symbolizing a shimmering refuge amid the stormy waters.

The sculpture immerses the viewer in the tension and power of the sea, creating the sensation of being inside a paper boat, exposed to the unpredictable and forceful waves. The construction of pyramids, hemp, and plaster emphasizes the contrast between the rigidity of the materials and the fragility of the boat, highlighting vulnerability and courage in the face of the relentless forces of nature.
