Artist statement:
The work Hangover was created as a reinterpretation of a moment from the actual process: while removing Gina's figure, I discovered an iron substructure that immediately reminded me of a fallen warrior. I cleaned it, leaving only traces of clay, and partially melted tar strips in places. After welding it onto an iron base, observing the sculpture, I realized how a hangover would look as a three-dimensional work – exhausted, vulnerable, somewhat forgotten, yet powerful in its presence.
Thus, the sculpture was titled Hangover, transforming a moment of introspective material play into a symbolic representation of a physical and emotional state that we all know.
