Jelka Margarita Bogdanić is an architect based in Zagreb. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb and, through her work, has developed a wide range of interests – from architecture and interiors to exhibition design, product design, and the development of her own brand.
Her work includes realized projects such as a family tomb at Mirogoj, numerous interiors, and exhibition setups in Zagreb, Karlovac, Split, and Hvar. Through collaborations with offices in Croatia and the Netherlands, she has further developed a sensitivity to context, detail, and material.
For her, space is never just a floor plan, but a scenario, an atmosphere, and a relationship between art and everyday life.
ONE SENTENCE / THOUGHT
Space should not be a byproduct of life, but a primary tool that shapes the quality of life unfolding within it.
STATEMENT ON THE CONNECTION BETWEEN ARCHITECTURE AND ART
Architecture without art remains functional, but unresolved. Art without space remains without context. I am interested in their relationship – in how they complement each other and give meaning to one another.
